Start count when the second hands across 12 o’clock, count 30 heartbeats and read pulse rate on the outer cycle of the watch (red Numbers). It is just the Numbers the second hands point to when you finished your last counting. For example, you start count when the second hands past 12 o’clock and when you count to 30, the second hands point to 7 o’clock, the pulse rate each minute is 52.
